Creating multiple high converting lead magnets takes skill – so I’ve laid out some great lead magnet examples + free templates to create lead magnets quickly and grow your list fast!

The money is in the list.

The email list!

As new entrepreneurs, we start hearing this everywhere and wonder what everyone means.

Then, we read the stories of those speaking it, and realize – dang! That’s it! That’s how you make the big bucks online as a blogger!

Your email list is much more important than the one or two ads in your sidebar, or those Amazon affiliate links in your post that no one’s clicked.

Instead, it’s the email list that makes multiple, repeat sales, time after time.

Why is this?
Because, if you do it right, you’re creating super valuable, high-converting email lead magnets to help your audience, while simultaneously growing your connection with your readers, which ends up with repeat sales and a solid following (which is why you’re blogging, right?)

We start wondering how the heck we can get this success for ourselves?
The answer is to create irresistible lead magnets.
Yep, I said plural lead magnets.

I find a lot of bloggers aren’t aware that you should create MULTIPLE freebie opt-ins.
As in – more than ten.
I know, it sounds like a lot.
But I’ve seen a lot of bloggers have success with this, and I myself have multiple opt-ins.
I mean, we want to create more than 50+ opt-ins!

The best part about this is that you can see what is working directly for YOUR audience, and what YOU’VE built. And use that data to improve and grow even faster.

The worst part about it is that it takes a lot of time to create opt-ins, get those funnels set up, write emails – all the logistics of it.

So what’s a blogger to do to speed this all up and grow your list to astronomical sizes?

Decide on a bunch of opt-ins that all will funnel into your final product, and then, create templates! Or just grab my free templates here, and skip some of the time it takes.
Creating a ton of opt-ins that set up directly into your product will help make a more cohesive customer experience.

Let’s take a look at the best high converting opt-in lead magnets, and you can use these ideas to kick start your collection of lead magnets to grow your email list!

How to choose the right lead magnet for your audience

Find out what’s popular already

To decide what your audience wants, you’ll want to first figure out what they are already searching for. If you’re blogging, you should know some of thee topics that your readers already want to hear about.
If you’re a newish blogger, you can see what posts of yours are taking off.
If you’re really new and don’t have a clue yet, get started by searching on Pinterest some of the seed keywords in your niche. This is like “productivity” or “online boutique” for me.
You should also utilize Buzzsumo, search Google Images or Pinterest for “keyword + template” or “keyword + printable” for the types of freebies to create. You can also look on Etsy and see what’s selling well on there!

Find a problem and solve it

What other problems is your reader having? What problem is your website trying to solve? Is there a really quick checklist or a quick win you can provide them to help them achieve/solve a part of the problem your website solves?
For example, if you’re a blogger who talks about home organizing – could you give them the photos of the best containers that help you contain the clutter in your house? (Note, you can’t use Amazon affiliate links in anything off of your website, and in no PDFs).

Think of your sales funnel

How does your lead magnet connect with the final idea you have for your signature course?

What is your endgame? If you plan on selling products, services, or a signature course – think about what problems those are solving. Dissect that down and see if you can solve a tiny part of that with your lead magnet. Does your lead magnet help them reach the next step of where they currently are?

if you haven’t created a course yet, you’ll want to consider how it connects together.

Here’s an example of two sales funnels:
Lead magnet –> Small course or tripwire –> Signature online course
Lead magnet #2 –> Small course or tripwire (the same, or different as the one above) –> Signature online course

Is your lead magnet small?

One mistake new bloggers often make is to create and share something big. Something with a lot of information – because why wouldn’t their audience want to see all that helpful info?! A free ebook? Yes!

But the problem is that most readers just want a quick and easy win for the problem you’re helping them solve. Make it a cheat-sheet, a super easy email challenge with something they can do each day. Make it a small exercise or tiny worksheet. Nothing more than, say, 10 pages (even some bloggers may say that’s a lot).
These can all be funneled into the same online course, or you may have plans to create more than one.
Don’t overthink this – just consider how the transition for your customer will be over time as you nurture them and sell to them!
After signing up for your lead magnet, your tripwire, small course, and the signature course should be the logical next step in the process.
