Too Many Tabs Open? 5 Chrome Tab Extensions to Combat your Obsession
How many tabs do you have open right now? If you’re a tab hoarder, you know the struggle is real!
You may only have one or two – maybe three if you’re skilled at self-control! ?
But if you’re like me, you’ve got at least 7+ tabs open at one time!
Sometimes, you legitimately need all of those tabs open if you have a more complex workflow on the computer.
At some point though, you will need to close those tabs. Maybe around the time your computer freezes or randomly restarts and you are sad because you lost all of that work…
BUT WAIT – I’m not done with them yet! I want to go back to them, but I don’t want 800+ bookmarks that I won’t check back with either.
The solution to too many Chrome tabs?
Find the best Chrome tab management tool for you! Using a Chrome tab extension to manage your open tabs will help your productivity and organization.
Luckily, there are multiple solutions to choose from. I love choices!
NOTE: These extensions have only been tested in the Chrome browser.
Best Tab Managers for Chrome:
This one was very helpful to me when I was working with my Amazon Wholesale business. I would need the Amazon page, the brands’ website, maybe CamelCamelCamel or Keepa, a keyword tool, perhaps their competitors’ listings – needless to say, it got a little confusing.
It got more complicated when I was dealing with 5+ brands waiting to call me back that day. My solution was to use SessionBuddy to save the tabs that I needed open for my pitching call with them. I could save the tabs and then when they called me back randomly at 3 pm that day, -bam- all those tabs were open and ready to go for me!
If you’ve ever needed to save the current tabs you have open for later, you’ll love this one. When a friend needs to use your PC, you quickly can bookmark or save your current tabs in order to close that window.
You can also suddenly switch from one tab to the other, if you have so many tabs open that you can’t see the tab title, this is a good solution!
You can organize by groups or projects, as well. If you are working on social media, you can open just your social media, for example.
This extension has some very interesting features!
First, it allows you to see a screenshot of the page, which I find to be useful as a more visual user.
Second, it allows you to sort by A/Z, Web Address, or “Creation Time” aka when you opened it.
Third, it allows you to suspend the tabs, so that it’s not taking up as much memory on your browser, which speeds up your browsing experience. It closes the tab without closing the tabs, which is fantastic if you are like me and you need to close your windows at the end of each day to keep your sanity.
Lastly, there’s a search bar that you can use to find the tab you’re looking for – you tab hoarder, you! :p
